Opportunity for Free and Fast Skills Assessment for Migrants - from 28 February 2022 until June 2023!!!

Migrant Skills Incentives – Skills Assessment for Migrants: The Migrant Skills Incentive Program provides eligible onshore migrants with free, fast-tracked skills assessments and employability assessments. The aim of these incentives is to maximize the contribution of skilled migrants who are in Australia and ready to contribute to the Australian workforce in priority occupations.

Incentive 1: Faster Migrant Skills Assessment (FMSA)

This incentive fast-tracks skills assessments for applicants who are currently onshore and awaiting a skills assessment outcome in a priority occupation – Enrolled Nurse (ANZSCO 411411), Registered Nurse (ANZSCO 254499 Not Elsewhere Classified) and Midwife (ANZSCO 254111). This only applies to new modified skills assessment applications made before 28 February 2022.

Incentive 2: Skills Assessment Opportunities for Migrants (SAOM)

ANMAC has been contracted by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment to provide free and fast-tracked skills assessments to eligible onshore migrants who are registered to practice as a nurse in Australia.

Eligible applicants need to be:

• Living in Australia on a family, partner, refugee or humanitarian visa
• Registered to work as an enrolled or registered nurse with Ahpra
• A first-time applicant with ANMAC
• Applying under ANZSCO 254499 (Not Elsewhere Classified) or ANZSCO 411411 (Enrolled Nurse).

Incentive 3: Employability Assessments

Employability assessments will be offered to migrants who have previously received a suitable skills assessment outcome but are working below their skill level.
