Posted on : February 3, 2021 11:03 pm

PTE (Pearson Language Tests) are necessary for those who want to settle or study abroad. You have other options also like IELTS but PTE is pretty much highlighted because of its flexibility and fast results. One thing also unique here is that the PTE test does not involve human judgment instead it is taken by an Artificial Intelligence machine through an algorithm. PTE exams are easy but not that much and to pass any test you need to have a better understanding of its judging criteria. So, here we are with the guide to the PTE exam.

We are listing here the points on how exams are grades in PTE and what is the pattern of the exam. PTE exam format is based on two skills, communicative and enabling in which you will test through different sections like reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Marks of one section depends on other sections also.

Section Wise Distribution

Speaking

Tasks: 5-7 tasks

Time: 77-93 minutes

Writing

Tasks: 2 tasks

Time: 30-40 minutes

Reading

Tasks: 5 tasks

Time: 30-44 minutes

Listening

Tasks: 8 tasks

Time: 45-57 minutes

These are the section-wise details you need to know about the PTE exam.

Every test section is scored out of 90 points. The test score is based on many things like your grammar, sentence structure and formation, usage of parts of speech, and spellings also.

Points to Remember

  • Your exam time will be 30 minutes.
  • You will be giving notepads to write important points.
