Program Essentials
1: Eligibility & Entry Requirements
Eligibility: International graduates who have completed an Australian IT-related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (minimum 2 years full-time study in Australia) and meet the Australian Study Requirement (ASR).
What it covers: Valid passport + visa with full work and study rights (valid for at least 365 days from program start); Competent English (e.g., IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent, completed within the last 3 years).
Advantage: Open to Temporary Graduate (485) visa holders and others meeting visa conditions.
Documents: Academic transcripts/award, English test results, passport, current visa, resume.
Assessment Method: Pre-enrolment interview with accredited provider to confirm suitability.
2: Program Structure & Outcomes
Duration: 44–52 weeks (typically 32 weeks of classroom training + 12 weeks internship + online components).
What it covers: Australian workplace culture, communication & performance skills, job search & interview techniques, professional ethics, plus a minimum 12-week (220+ hours) IT internship.
Fee: Set by individual accredited providers (varies by location and intake).
Advantage: Provides 5 migration points + counts as 1 year relevant work experience for ACS skills assessment; includes 12-month complimentary ACS membership.
Outcome: Certificate of completion + internship reference; stronger employability in Australian IT roles.
(Note: No Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available. Program delivery is generally 1 day per week to allow part-time work.)
