Student Visa Subclass 500 - Schools Sector

A school education stream under the Student Visa Subclass 500 allows international students to study in Australia for the duration of their primary or secondary schooling. This visa falls under the Subclass 500 framework, and school applicants have different eligibility requirements compared to higher education students. With changing immigration policies and education requirements, it is important to submit the correct documents and meet all visa conditions before applying. At Think Higher Consultants, we help parents and students secure admissions and manage the entire visa process smoothly.

School Intake Periods in Australia

Australian schools in Australia generally follow a structured academic calendar for international student admissions. However, the two most important intake periods for school enrolments are:

July Intake

The second major intake takes place in July. Schools open admissions mid-year, allowing students to join based on available seats and school capacity.

January Intake

This is the main intake for most Australian schools. Students usually begin their academic year during this period in January.

Admission availability may vary depending on the school, location, year level, and state regulations. Early application is strongly recommended to secure a place in preferred schools.
