Requirements vary according to study level.

Bachelor Degree
  • Age over 18
  • Year 12 or recognised equivalent
  • ATAR 65 or equivalent pathway, or Certificate IV/higher
  • English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 overall, with no individual band below 5.5, or another approved English test result
Graduate Diploma
  • Recognised bachelor degree, or
  • Relevant Graduate Certificate, or
  • Other approved prior learning/professional experience.
Master Degree
  • Applicants generally need a recognised bachelor degree or another approved postgraduate pathway.
  • ICT applicants may need an academic background containing relevant mathematics, such as statistics, calculus, discrete mathematics or similar study.
  • Graduate English entry is generally IELTS 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0, or an accepted equivalent.
Research
  • Research entry can include an eligible master or honours degree, or a qualifying undergraduate-plus-graduate pathway with the required academic results and experience.

Students completing the Bachelor of Business with an Accounting major study a program recognised by CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. According to CIM, the qualification may also support graduates seeking professional membership of the Institute of Public Accountants.

CIM also states that:

  • Information Systems graduates may meet prerequisites to apply to professional bodies such as ACS
  • Management graduates may meet prerequisites for bodies such as AIM.
