Profile Assessment
We review your previous education, English evidence, employment or professional background where relevant, previous study and proposed course.
Alphacrucis University College (AC) is an Australian Christian higher education provider offering programs across business, education, counselling, social sciences, leadership, ministry, theology, arts and music. Established in 1948, AC has grown from its Christian ministry roots into a multidisciplinary University College with study locations across Australia.
AC is registered with TEQSA as a University College, holds self-accrediting authority and is registered on CRICOS under 00958A for eligible international student courses.
Selecting the right course is just one step in preparing a successful admission application.
We review your previous education, English evidence, employment or professional background where relevant, previous study and proposed course.
We check whether the proposed qualification matches your academic profile and whether it is currently available at an appropriate location for international students.
Think Higher can help organise your admission documents and prepare the application with the supporting information required for assessment.
If an Alphacrucis offer letter is issued, we can review the course, campus, intake, tuition guidance and any conditions that need to be completed before acceptance.
After the required admission steps and payment are completed, we can help finalise your acceptance and arrange the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
Think Higher can also assist separately with the Student Visa Subclass 500 stage, including Genuine Student preparation, CoE and OSHC checks and supporting visa documentation.
What makes AC different is that its professional courses are taught within a Christian worldview. This can suit students looking for a qualification in areas such as business, teaching or counselling while studying in an environment where faith remains part of the academic experience.
Alphacrucis offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research options across several disciplines, including business, education and theology.
Students may access academic guidance, pastoral care, careers support and practical learning experiences in applicable courses.
The range of Alphacrucis courses extends well beyond theology and ministry, with undergraduate, postgraduate and research options across several study areas.
Current options include programs such as:
AC also provides progression opportunities that may allow students to move from a shorter qualification into a higher-level business program, subject to the course structure and admission requirements.
Students can explore:
The Bachelor of Applied Social Science may cover counselling, chaplaincy, pastoral care, youth work, social science and cross-cultural practice.
Alphacrucis education courses include:
Ministry and theology remain central study areas at Alphacrucis College.
Programs include undergraduate and postgraduate study in:
Students considering Alphacrucis theology courses can find pathways ranging from introductory qualifications through to master's and research-level study.
As a general guide, currently published international course information places selected programs around:
| Selected Program | Indicative Tuition Guide |
|---|---|
| Bachelor of Business | Around AUD $66,000 total tuition |
| Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education | AUD $25,600 full-course tuition |
| Master of Teaching (Primary) | Around AUD $48,000 total tuition |
| Master of Counselling | Around the low AUD $50,000s total tuition |
Admission requirements vary according to the qualification. For undergraduate study, applicants generally need an appropriate Australian Year 12-equivalent qualification or another recognised admission pathway.
Postgraduate applicants normally need a recognised bachelor-level qualification, although some courses require previous study in a relevant discipline.
Teaching, counselling and research programs can have additional requirements such as academic prerequisites, interviews, professional evidence or course-specific assessment.
There is no single IELTS or PTE score that applies across all Alphacrucis courses. English requirements can differ considerably between business, ministry, counselling, education and research programs. Professional courses such as counselling and teacher education can require higher English results than some general undergraduate programs.
Prior study completed in English may be accepted as evidence of English proficiency where the course rules allow it.
AC has a national Australian presence and currently promotes study across:
CRICOS-approved course locations vary by qualification. A program offered through the wider AC network may have a smaller selection of locations available to students who require a Student Visa.
AC offers several commencement periods during the year, but there is no single intake calendar that applies to every course.
A number of ministry, theology and music programs currently use commencements around March, August and November, while business, counselling, education and other programs may operate on different schedules.
Support available across the institution can include:
Some qualifications include practical training through professional placements, school settings, ministry activities or other work-based learning experiences.
This practical component can be particularly relevant for students studying teaching, counselling, chaplaincy, ministry or professional programs.
Start preparing your application using the academic documents currently available rather than automatically waiting for the final result. However, if the final qualification or result is required to meet the course entry criteria, AC may need that evidence before your admission can be fully confirmed and a CoE issued.
If your results are pending, Think Higher can check whether it is worth applying now and help you provide the final documents as soon as they become available. AC requires the academic entry requirements to be satisfied before issuing an international student's CoE.
Yes, particularly if you have already studied in Australia, changed courses or providers, had a study gap, or are transferring while still within the first six months of your principal course.
AC has separate transfer requirements for international students. If a student wants to move providers before completing six months of their main course, approval or a release from the current provider may be required.
Your previous Australian study should therefore be reviewed before a new application is lodged rather than addressed after an offer is issued.
A study gap does not automatically prevent you from applying. What matters is whether your academic background still meets the course requirements and whether the gap makes sense within your overall study and career history. For a Student Visa, Home Affairs can consider previous study, employment, personal circumstances and study gaps when assessing whether the proposed course represents a genuine progression.
Where there is a significant gap, Think Higher can help identify the evidence that may explain what you were doing during that period, such as employment, business, further training or other relevant circumstances.
You can request a deferral, but receiving a CoE does not mean you should simply change your start date yourself.
AC needs to approve the change and determine what needs to happen to the existing enrolment and CoE. A changed commencement date can also affect your Student Visa timing, OSHC and travel plans.
If you cannot commence, make the request before the course start deadline. AC states that a student who fails to commence without requesting a deferral may have their CoE cancelled.
A conditional offer means AC still requires something before your admission can move to the next stage.
Common outstanding matters can include final academic documents, certified evidence, English results or other course-specific requirements. The important step is to identify exactly what the condition requires rather than making payment and assuming the condition will disappear.
Yes, but a previous refusal does not automatically mean another Student Visa will be refused.
Home Affairs specifically considers an applicant's immigration history, including previous Australian or overseas visa applications, refusals and cancellations, when assessing the Genuine Student requirement.
The important issue is therefore why the previous visa was refused and whether that issue has actually been addressed.
A new course application should not be used simply to lodge another visa application without first reviewing the refusal reasons. Think Higher can assess the previous decision, the proposed course and the new Student Visa strategy together before proceeding.
An offer or CoE does not guarantee a Student Visa. Admission and immigration are separate assessments.
If the Student Visa is refused before you can commence, AC's current refund policy provides for eligible prepaid course fees to be refunded, less an administrative amount calculated under the policy. The policy currently states that this deduction is the lesser of 5% of the course fees received or AUD $500.
If the refusal occurs after study has commenced, a different calculation applies to unused tuition.
Before immediately lodging another visa application, the refusal reasons should be reviewed first. Depending on what happened, the next step could involve addressing missing evidence, reconsidering the visa strategy or obtaining advice about any review rights that may exist in the individual case.
With courses spread across several disciplines, campuses and study modes, choosing AC involves more than finding a course name online.
